Nha Trang...learning scuba diving!!

The best thing about having a plan is that you can always change it!! hahahaha
It was 7 am and we stopped in Nha Trang to change bus and to go to "our" destination, Dalat. Just beside the bus station there were a few scuba diving schools.. the city wasn't very appealing but getting the licence for scuba diving here is very cheap. WE got so excited about it and we changed the bus tickets to Dalat for 4 days later! hahahaha Let's go diving!!!!!!!!!!!

Nha Trang hasn't got too much to see. It is the typical city on the seaside with a long sidewald and millions of hotels, all of them awful huge buildings! Very tacky to be honest. It reminds us to the Spanish city of Benidorm.

Howerver, it has been very funny to spend some days in a place that all the Vietnamese come for their holidays. The way they spend their holidays is so different to ours!!!

- They get up at 4 am !!!!!!!!!!!!

- Then they all go to the beach!!!! at 5 am beaches are crowded!!! can you imagine? They swim, run, walk, play football, voley ball.... everything at 5 in the morning!!

- At 6am sharp there is speech through a PA system !!! Not sure what they say as it is in Vietnamese but it is very weird!!! just a woman talking on the PA system .. and everyday is the same one!!!

- After this they are all ready to go for breakfast... every single corner in the city is packed!! Noodles, rice, coffee ... and also some sandwiches filled of whatever... we don't know what it is but they give them energy for the whole day!!

But if you get up so early then you pay the consequences!!! during the rest of the day lots of Vietnamese people are like zoombies... sleeping everywhere!!! Siesta is not just popular in Spain but also in Vietnam :-)

- As they don't like the sun.. the beaches are quiet during the rest of the day until the sunset... beaches are crowded again for dinner time!!! they do picnics under the moonlight! It is very funny!

Well... apart from seeing their holiday's style we have also done a few things:

- we went for a shellfish dish to celebrate Vanessa's 30th birthday!! and the best is that we just paid 5 euros each!! ueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee mussles, shells, squids, prawns... and of course... with a few beers! Delicious!

- We have been lying on the beach.. just relaxing and reading..

But the most important thing is that we have done scuba diving!!! The thing is that in Asia seems to be quite cheap to get the licence and then you can dive anywhere in the world.... we weren't sure about the different certifications...PADI and SSI, they both offer courses around the world. Eventually, we just decided to go for the SSI (Scuba School International) ... a three days course: first on the swimming pool practicing the breathing and then you go to the sea. The course includes four immerssions on the sea.

The expericnce allows you to discover the water world! plenty of little fishes and life! it is so relaxing!! you have to try it!!

Now seriously... after the diving... we are going to Dalat:-)
